We want to provide you with what you need to help your child!

My name is Amanda Stine. I got married in the summer of 2012 to my high school sweetheart. In my free time, I enjoy boating, being outside at the lake, riding bikes, traveling, and being with friends and family. My family is extremely important to me. My father is a military veteran. He served in the Air National Guards for 22 years. My mother is an owner of a hair salon. My oldest sister, Courtney, lives in Charleston, SC with her husband and their two kids, Antonio and Amyah. My other sister, Heather, is 28. She has cognitive disabilities and works at Sandco Industries, which is a workplace for individuals of developmental disabilities. She is my greatest inspiration in life. Although she will never be able to drive, most likely won’t get married, will never be able to have children, will probably never live on her own, she is the happiest person I know. She wakes up every day with a huge smile on her face. She truly loves and enjoys her life!

From the time I was in early elementary I knew I wanted to be a teacher. In December of 2009 I graduated from Bowling Green State University with an Early Childhood degree.  After graduation I subbed and tutored for a year. Then in 2011 I got my first teaching position and am now a first grade teacher. I will be graduating in August with my Master's in Reading.

Hi! My name is Amy Hart. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with an early childhood degree in May of 2010. After graduation, I taught prechool for a year. I got married to my husband, Kevin, who I met while attending BGSU, in June of 2011. I subbed in a few local school districts for a year. During the spring semester of 2012, I returned to BGSU to complete my 4th/5th grade endorsement. Then in 2012, I received an all year long term position teaching third grade. In the summer of 2013, I returned to BGSU to complete courses for my K-12 reading endorsement. The following year my long term turned into a full-time position in Oregon, OH. I am currently working on my Master's degree in Reading also at Bowling Green State University. I currently teach third grade and I absolutely love it!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love to take pictures, watch movies, and scrapbook. My husband and I recently closed on a house and will be moving later this summer.

My name is Liz Greene. I am currently a 5th grade teacher in North Olmsted, Ohio.

I am actually from the Southeast, I moved to Ohio to be closer to my sister and her family. My first 5 years of teaching were in a large suburb outside of Atlanta, Georgia. In Gwinnett County, I taught 4th and 5th grades, specializing in Language Arts and Social Studies instruction. I am a career changer. I started off in the ad world. I received my Journalism degree from the University of Georgia and went on to pursue a career as a copywriter. During a shoot for the Florida Lottery’s Education campaign, I realized how much I really enjoyed working with children. I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Education. I was fortunate enough to do my student teaching at the Center for Inquiry—an inquiry-based magnet school in Columbia, South Carolina. I am a firm believer in nurturing the lifelong learner by encouraging inquiry and problem-solving processes as children discover their own paths.

At home, I do have two “children” of my own, two very spoiled Maltese pups named Sea and Auden. As far as hobbies go, if you followed the money trail, it would lead to nephews, dogs, books, vinyl records, and travel—probably in that order! I do truly believe that I am blessed to be a teacher and that if we—teachers, students, and families—put our heads and hearts together, there isn’t anything that we can’t solve.

My name is Lauren Clark and I am 22 years old. I graduated from Van Buren High School in 2010 (right down the road from Arcadia). I graduated from BGSU in 2013 earning my B.S. in Early Childhood. During that summer, I completed the K-12 reading endorsement through BGSU as well. In August, I was hired at Espy Elementary in Kenton, Ohio as a first grade teacher. I am now taking the rest of the classes I need in order to complete my Masters in Reading. After completing my first year of teaching, I feel as if I have grown very much as a person and as a teacher. I loved teaching my first grade students and I believe I impacted their lives very much. This summer I am taking this class as well as working 30+ hours at Red Hawk Run Golf Course in Findlay. I bought a house in Kenton in November, but I am currently living with my family in Findlay because it is much closer to my summer job. This coming school year, I will be teaching again for Kenton City Schools, but I will be at their brand new elementary school. Three of their elementary schools are combining into one large elementary school. I am very excited for this new experience and being able to collaborate with all of the 7 first grade teachers at our new school.
